Hamster Kombat ban 2.3 million cheaters

Hamster Kombat, the Telegram mini app that went viral in March 2024, is heading to the listing of its token on 26 September. During the planned token generation event, the project team posted on X (formerly Twitter) that it had banned more than 2.3 million cheaters.

The project was a massive one with over 350 million users. However, it turns out that the numbers do not truly add up. And the team has caught several cheaters in the game. At least 2.3 million accounts have been closed down for various reasons. Although the team failed to tell us the mechanism used by their anti-cheat, they provided some information that guided us on who was caught in the act.

Multiple accounts owners

Individuals with multiple accounts are among those whom the Hamster Kombat project blocked during the TGE. According to the Twitter post, a user connected more than 400 accounts to a single Binance address and another user was flagged by their anti-cheat software for having 2000 invited friends. The 2000 invites were likely for the same persons.

There might be other reasons for the ban on other accounts the project team didn't mention. Removing 2.3 million accounts from the P2E platform on Telegram means the number of accounts that qualified for Airdrop will be less than 350 million.

Accounts that use a bot

Before the report of the ban of 2.3 million accounts, the Hamster Kombat project team earlier reported that it had caught people who cheated via games. Many accounts were caught using key generators to earn keys which increased their key number without actually playing the game. This set of accounts will be among the 2.3 million accounts that were banned yesterday.

Qualified accounts for Airdrop

The team reported, in addition, that 131 million accounts qualified for the airdrop. However, 30.6 million of them have yet to choose a withdrawal method. These might be individuals who didn't believe in the project and withdrew earlier because the listing date was taken too long. And probably other persons who cannot connect to a cryptocurrency exchange due to a ban in their country or lack of knowledge of Web 3.

Price prediction for the Hamster combat listing on 26 September

Market Prefect has predicted that the floor price for the Hamster Kombat token might be 0.05 USDT and may skyrocket to the moon for up to 0.09 USDT. However, this is just a prediction and the actual listing price may be different.

Players who receive $HMSTR token are hoping to get a better price as the token allocation shared with each individual was not as expected. Likely, the highest player of the game may not have received up to 10,000 $HMSTR.  Therefore, a higher price of up to 0.1 to 1 USDT will likely help them earn a good amount from their effort during season 1 of the game.
